A new floor is only as good as what it sits on. BRC Flooring handles tear-out and subfloor prep in-house, so the crew pulling up the old floor is the same crew installing the new one. No finger-pointing between trades.

Leveling and fixing the subfloor
Older Detroit homes often have uneven plank subfloors or slabs with dips. Freeze-thaw can shift basement slabs over time. We check with a straightedge, patch, grind, or apply leveling compound until the surface is flat enough for the new product.
Skipping this step is the top reason floors fail early. It is also what separates a luxury vinyl plank floor that looks flat from one that shows every bump.
