LVP is what we install most
Luxury vinyl plank is the floor most of our customers ask for, and it is easy to see why. It looks like wood, stands up to water, and installs fast. BRC Flooring has laid it in open-plan main floors, finished basements, kitchens, and offices.

LVP in Michigan basements and kitchens
Freeze-thaw cycles move foundations, and basements get damp. Traditional wood does not like that, but LVP does. We often recommend it over engineered hardwood for below-grade rooms, and engineered hardwood for the main floor.
Kitchens, mudrooms, and entry halls take the most abuse from road salt. LVP does not stain or swell, and cleanup is a damp mop.

Choosing plank style and thickness
We bring samples so you can judge color in your own light. A few things worth deciding before install:
- Wear layer thickness for heavier traffic and pets
- Plank width: wider boards feel more modern
- Color tone: warm oak, gray, or a lighter Scandinavian look
- Straight lay or herringbone
- Attached underlayment for comfort and sound

Installation, start to finish
We check the subfloor, level it, and acclimate the planks. Then we lay the floor with proper expansion gaps and finish with trim and transitions. Old flooring removal can be included through floor demolition and prep.
