What vinyl floor tiles are
Vinyl floor tiles are rigid squares or rectangles that go down like a puzzle or glue to the subfloor. They run softer and warmer underfoot than a hard surface, and they are fully moisture resistant. BRC Flooring installs them in Metro Detroit entries, bathrooms, kitchens, and basements.
If you want long boards instead of squares, look at luxury vinyl plank. Many homeowners end up using both: tile in the wet rooms, plank everywhere else.

Prep decides how it looks in five years
Vinyl tile shows what is under it. A bump, ridge, or old adhesive spot will telegraph through. In our older Detroit and inner-suburb houses, that is the rule rather than the exception.
We scrape, patch, and level as needed, and if the old floor has to come up first we handle it through floor demolition and prep. Then we dry-lay the pattern before anything is fixed down.

Replacing a single damaged square
One advantage of a tiled format is repair. If something heavy drops or a corner gets gouged, a damaged piece can often be swapped without redoing the room. Ask us to leave you spare pieces at install. See also our floor repair service.
